Thursday’s NHL Three Fantasy Stars – Your 3/12 Recap

1st Star, Alexandre Burrows, Vancouver Canucks: Burrows scored the 2 goals for Vancouver in regulation time. Mind you, these were his first 2 goals all season! His first goals in a regular season game since April 15, 2013. The goal that forced overtime was made up of beautiful hand eye coordination (you can see that lovely goal above.)  He racked up 32 SL points on the night, he usually averages 5. So it’s a no-brainer that he gets Overachiever of the Night!

2nd Star, Seymon Varlamov, Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado goalie saved 37 shots last night which earned him his 100th win in the NHL. His performance got you 42 SL points.

3rd Star, Tuukka Rask, Boston Bruins: Rask made 35 saves for the Bruins in last nights 4-1 victory over the Canadians. Even though Montreal out shot Boston, 36-32. Rask was up for the task. Simply put Tuukka had one of his best games of the season. He racked up 39 SL points last night.

Underachiever of the Night… The wearer of that crown goes to Alex Galchenyuk. Simply put, he didn’t do well last night. At all. -2 SL points. There’s no bright spot in a negative point performance. Galchenyuk scored 9 below his average.
