Happy Monday SideLeaguers! It’s time to take a look at a few of the individuals that flourished in the NBA this weekend and a few that didn’t.
Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls: Noah, considered a serial flirt when it comes to triple-doubles decided to get his flirt on again Saturday night. The “point center” led his Bulls team with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists on Saturday night. This performance gave him 72 SL points.
Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets: Superman abused Miami’s frontcourt on Sunday afternoon for 21 points and 14 rebounds, Dwight even had 5 dimes as well! He also only missed 3 free throws! It was a 61 SL point performance for the Houston big man.
Paul Millsap, Atlanta Hawks: The Hawks won their 3rd in a row Saturday night thanks to 24 points & 11 boards from Paul Millsap. Trillsap’s performance would’ve netted SL users 60 SL points.
Nicolas Batum, Portland Trail Blazers: Batum collected 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists Sunday night, but that wasn’t enough to overcome Golden State’s “Splash Bros.” SL users that picked Batum were winners however, as he got them a fat 60 SL points.
DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings: DMC had 25 points & 14 rebounds Saturday night in a losing effort against the Chicago Bulls. That equated to a 51 SL point night.
Tyson Chandler, New York Knicks: Tyson wasn’t really needed in the Knicks blowout over the Milwaukee Bucks but a 2 points & 5 rebounds against a weak Milwaukee team still isn’t ideal. Chandler scored 25 below his SL average on Saturday afternoon.
Marcin Gortat, Washington Wizards: Gortat went 1-for-8 from the field Saturday night and was benched for the entire 4th quarter in favor of a just signed Drew Gooden, who seems to be getting his groove back. Gortat scored 24 SL points below his average.
Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls: Jimmy G. Buckets was anything but getting buckets on Saturday night going 1-for-11 from the field. How someone could shoot so poorly against this Sacramento team beats me. Butler scored 18 points below his SL average Saturday night.
