SideLeague’s MLB Fantasy Plays for 5.19.14

What’s going on, SideLeaguers? We’ve only got a 5-game slate today, ugh. Nonetheless, we must march on like great fantasy players do. Let’s take a look at some guys you should look at today.

Stephen Strasburg – Stras has been very good at home this season posting an ERA of 2.30. This is the best option that you’re gonna have at pitcher today, IMO.

Mike Minor – Minor has looked good since returning from the DL. I like his matchup against a Brewers squad that strikes out at an above average rate.

Wily Peralta – The Braves strike out at a 24% clip. Peralta is a good sleeper play today.

Victor Martinez – Victor is red-hot. Like 5-alarm fire hot. Get him in your lineup.

Albert Pujols – Pujols went yard twice yesterday and gets to face the Astros tonight.

Ryan Raburn – A sleeper play, he only plays against lefties and Drew Smyly is a lefty that allows an OPS of .820

Carlos Santana – I like a lot of the Indians players against Smyly. You’ll see.

Asdrubal Cabrera – In May, AsCab has 2 homers. Oh, he’s another Indians bat that gets to face Smyly.

Jayson Werth – Werth has a lifetime batting average of over .400 against Mike Leake. I like the looks of that.

Michael Brantley – Oh look, another Indians player. Listen. Get some Cleveland Indians in your lineup. Just do it. Specifically, the guys I just told you about.
