Hey, SideLeaguers! Before we get into today’s fantasy plays, we here at SideLeague are saddened to hear of the passing of MLB legend Tony Gwynn. This is a sad moment for the game of baseball as Gwynn was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. We send condolences to the Gwynn & San Diego Padres family.
Julio Teheran – Julio struggled last time out, we’ll just call that the Coors Field factor. Besides that, he’s been on point this season. I love this matchup against the Phillies tonight.
Tyson Ross – Ross has shined bright like a diamond this season. Tonight he matches up with a Seattle team that’s fairly weak on offense. Solid play tonight.
Cole Hamels – That’s right, I’m going with the counterpart of Teheran as well. Atlanta strikes out around 25% and if Hector Santiago can put together a solid outing against this club, what do you think Cole Hamels is capable of?
Miguel Montero – Wily Peralta is gonna give you some flyballs. When you face someone like Montero, those flyballs could turn into homers rather quickly as he’s hitting .300 with 5 longballs in June.
Mike Napoli – You guys ever go to one of those Brazilian steakhouses where waiters come to your table and cut all the meat you could possibly want onto your plate until you say stop? That’s gonna be Mike Napoli against Minnesota’s Kevin Correia tonight.
Scooter Gennett – I like Scooter as an under the radar play tonight against the struggling Brandon McCarthy.
Evan Longoria – Longo has abused LHP in his career, he may be struggling but I think he can use Wei-Yin Chen as a slump buster.
Xander Boagerts – Remember what I said about Napoli? Well, his teammate Xander is his date to the all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse.
Ryan Braun – When Scooter gets on base against McCarthy, Braun will most likely be the guy driving him in.
Matt Kemp – Tyler Matzek had an excellent debut. I think Kemp and co. put in a pin in his balloon tonight.
