Baseball’s back! It’s finally back! Hopefully you guys didn’t go through withdrawal symptoms this week. As usual, tonight starts the beginning of our weekend match and I for one couldn’t be more excited. Let’s not delay any further and get into the plays!

Pitchers

Madison Bumgarner – There’s lots of reason to love MadBum today. There’s only one hitter in this Marlins lineup that can threaten him with a bad time (Stanton of course) and the Marlins a below average team against LHP.

Jeff Samardzija – The shark’s been crazy consistent in 2014. It’s not a great matchup against this Baltimore lineup but it’s not bad either.

Francisco Liriano – The Rockies are a completely different team offensively on the road. Liriano is an under the radar play that could pay off something huge tonight.

Hitters

Brian McCann – McCann’s been kind of a bust so far, yeah? Well, what better way to prove people wrong than to have a great 2nd half of the year. McCann gets Mike Leake who can give up some homers and McCann should be able to take advantage of the short porch in right.

Miguel Cabrera – You know you have all the upside in the world whenever you choose Miggy. Especially against a pitcher like Trevor Bauer.

Ben Zobrist – I don’t know about you guys but I love to pick on Twins pitching. Especially Kyle Gibson. I think Zobrist base hits him to death tonight.

Pablo Sandoval – I like this matchup for Panda because Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t strikeout a lot of people. Sandoval should plenty of balls into play tonight and get some points off of it.

Starlin Castro – I like the matchup for Castro. Mainly because I think Trevor Cahill is going to get thrashed tonight.

Starling Marte – Marte has a career OPS of .948 against LHP. I like him also because he’ll be most likely overlooked while most people rather pick McCutchen.

Shin Soo-Choo – Choo aka the on-base machine gets to face R.A. Dickey who’s main pitch may be flat today which may lead to Choo being a fantasy point machine.
