How Did a Redskins Fan Get a Bird Into Sunday’s Game?

There’s been a lot of strange activity from fans at football games, but this may be the strangest. There are so many questions that need answers. For one, how’d she even get this bird into the stadium?! The purse she carries with her had to be clear per NFL rules, so it’s not as if she hid it in there. Would’ve been seen right?

Also, is it a crow? A raven? Either way that’s illegal. Can’t have crows and/or ravens as pets in the United States. It’s actually a criminal offense. Yeah, it’s possible she could’ve gotten a permit but those are very difficult to obtain.

Dez Bryant Changes His Equipment at Halftime, Has a Big 2nd Half. Coincidence? We Think Not.

Yesterday the Dallas Cowboys won their 6th straight game, pushing their record to 6-1 after beating the New York Giants. At halftime the game was tied and Dez Bryant was pretty quiet only having 2 catches for 15 yards. Bryant would finish with 9 catches for 151 yards. What happened? Did he have some of Michael’s Secret Stuff?

Dez says it was a change of wardrobe. He felt “uncomfortable” in the first half so he changed his cleats and put a visor on his helmet. He told the Dallas Morning News

“Truthfully, it makes me feel a certain way. I feel like I have to go back to being me, wear the things I normally wear and don’t try to do anything different.”

As the great Deion Sanders once said: “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good.” My only question to Dez is, why didn’t you start the game with the comfortable stuff man!

Fan Refurbishes Kansas City Royals Emblem on I-70 Out of His Own Pocket.

Royals fan Shawn Arcidino noticed that the Kansas City Royals logo that’s on the side of the hill as your drive on I-70 wasn’t looking so great. He tried to contact the right people to fix it but had no luck, so he decided that if he wanted something done right, he had to do it himself.

It only took $81 and 35 minutes for him and three others to make it all pretty again. He said it was an easy fix that will definitely make a difference. “I just got sick of griping about it, and we just fixed it,” said Arcidino. Royals pride is in full swing in Kansas City.

SideLeague’s Week 7 NFL Fantasy Picks

This football season seems like it’s completely flying by. We’re already at Week 7?! Where has the time gone?! Let’s get to this weeks top fantasy football picks for your weekly games!

Colin Kaepernick – Last week, Kaepernick gave us his best game of the season and gets a favorable matchup against the Broncos this week in a game that many of us expect to be a high-scoring one.

Joe Flacco – Flacco only had the highest TD total of any NFL QB this season in his game last week and gets another prime matchup against the Falcons defense.

Russell Wilson – We saw what Kaepernick did against St. Louis on Monday night, now just imagine what another mobile QB who manages the game a bit smarter can do.

Running Backs

Jamaal Charles – Bold prediction time: I think Charles gets somewhere around 30 touches and becomes the Chiefs all-time rushing leader on Sunday.

DeMarco Murray – I think you absolutely have to play the NFL leader in rushing yards against this Giants team.

Ahmad Bradshaw – No running back has more red zone targets than Bradshaw. Seriously, go look it up. I think he’ll have a good number of them this week against the Bengals which should lead to a score or two.

Wide Recievers

Doug Baldwin – You need someone to pair up with Wilson? Go with Doug Baldwin. He’ll be the lesser owned of any Seahawks receiver and I think he’ll end up being the sleeper of the weekend.

Jordy Nelson – When it comes to the passing game, the Packers are clicking on all cylinders. Last week, Nelson had 9 grabs for 107 yards and a TD and gets a Carolina defense that struggles against the pass. I think another big week is in store for Nelson.

Brandon Marshall – Another bold prediction: Brandon Marshall is due for a HUGE game. Mark him down for a minimum of 100 yards and a TD this week.

Defense/Special Teams

Cleveland Browns – The weekly “whoever’s playing against the Jaguars” pick. The Browns should be wreaking all kinds of havoc for Jacksonville this Sunday.

Green Bay Packers – I think the Packers will be given a ton of opportunites to grab some interceptions. Especially if Kelvin Benjamin misses this game due to injury.

Seattle Seahawks – Sure the Seattle Seahawks haven’t looked much like the Seattle Seahawks, but do remember. These are the Seattle Seahawks. What I’m trying to say is, the Rams are in trouble this week.

Good luck in your fantasy matchups!

Donovan McNabb says Bears QB Jay Cutler Isn’t a “winner,” “Tony Romo of the Midwest.”

Former NFL QB Donovan McNabb was on the “Kap & Haugh” show on Chicago’s 87.7 FM and had some un-kind things to say about Bears QB Jay Cutler. About Cutler, McNabb rants…

“He’s the Tony Romo of the Midwest,” McNabb said. “We can talk about arm talent, we can talk about being able to throw a ball through a wall. He can put up 280, 340 yards passing, but you look across the board he’s got two interceptions in a game that cost them 14 points or so. That hurts a football team.

“Can he play in this league? Absolutely, he’s proven that. But a quarterback is measured by your body of work, meaning your wins and losses record, the numbers you put up. And the end-all be-all is how many playoff wins do you have? How many playoff appearances do you have? If you only have one to show for almost a decade of play that means you can’t lead your team to the playoffs.

“Then the question is why? Because you’re so talented, the potential is there, but why haven’t you been able to do it? You can only say for so long that it’s been the talent. They have some talent around Cutler, that’s never been the issue. Now can you put it all together? To be honest, the answer is no.”

McNabb would also call both Cutler & McNabb an “accident waiting to happen.” McNabb also criticized the Bears for not feeding the ball to Matt Forte more often.

I mean, if McNabb was really on his trolling game he could’ve called himself the ‘Donovan McNabb of the midwest.” I guess I would feel salty too if I threw 3 interceptions in my lone Super Bowl appearance and lost my job to Rex Grossman. Bears and Cowboys fans should see this as nothing more than McNabb trying to keep his name in conversations by ruffling feathers.
