The NHL Morning Skate for 10.22.14

We had a big ol’ night of hockey on Tuesday night with a 10 game slate. Let’s take a look at the best Goal, Hit, Fight and Player of last night’s game!

GOAL OF THE NIGHT!!!

Dennis Wideman’s piece of art.

To be completely fair, Johnny Gaudreau was a really big reason this goal was so beautiful. He made the Lightining defense look awful there to set up Wideman for the score. The skill here is top notch.

HIT OF THE NIGHT!!!

Tommy Wingels’ Big Hit on Zdeno Chara

I’m pretty sure the phrase “The bigger they are, the harder they fall” works here right? Chara tried to catch Wingels sleeping and paid for his efforts with a quick trip to the ice.

FIGHT OF THE NIGHT!!!

Florida’s Derek MacKenzie vs. Colorado’s Marc-Andre Cliche

Meh, the fight was a draw. Both guys had bad intentions though, neither could get the spot they wanted though.

PLAYER OF THE NIGHT!!!

New York Rangers Defenseman Kevin Klein

Kevin Klein doesn’t score often, but when he does he makes sure that they count.¬†Props to Chris Kreider on the lovely setup on this OT game-winner as well
